2011 camaro 2lt rs manual vs 97 gsx eclipse manual?

both are stock i just bought my new camaro and my friend wants to drag on the drag strip with his stock 97 gsx eclipse so which will win and why

Camaro will win. The Camaro has more power both horsepower and torque wise. Eclipses are really awful slushbox cars to begin with, so you would win hands down.

The only advantage he might have is launching at the tree since he has AWD. Other than that he's toast unless you can't drive a stick very well.

It's all in what your friend added to his car that he may not have told you!!!
But your Camaro's V6 should put out 305 Horsepower and 273 lb.-ft. of torque... chassis is from the Pontiac G8... top sped 175.. i believe
the 97gsx is a 4 cyclinders with 210 horsepower and top speed should be about 137. and only puts out 214 lb of torgue.. but it can go 0 to 60 in 6.5 sec.
So if you know how how to shift you should be OK!!!! And win
