Hello all! I wanted to introduce myself first and then ask a question. My name is Dan, I'm married (almost 7 years), and have 3 boys (5 yrs, 2yrs, & a newborn). I have a black 2011 Avalanche LS with the upgrade package that included the 20" wheels, chrome grill & mirrors, tow package, and gear ratio. I bought the truck new at the end of 2011 (September) and now it has 28K on the odometer.
Here's the issue I just experienced this morning, maybe someone has dealt with this in the past. I'm driving my kid to the doctor's office, listening to my typical sports talk, and all of a sudden I hear a somewhat loud "poof" type sound and then my radio goes dead. It did it a 2nd time within 10-15 seconds after the radio died and then I notice my parking assist light go on. The message then displays that the parking assist function is disabled. So, 2 issues happened simultaneously. I now have no radio and I cannot turn the parking assist function back on. I checked the fuses and they're fine.
Has anyone experienced this before or have any good insight on what might have happened? TIA
