WARNING!

While working on my "FUSE-20" problem I discovered what appears to be TWO cold solder joints at two large ground lugs!

Do yourself a huge favor and take a few minutes to check the following:

Find these two 1 1/2" ground lugs to the RIGHT of fuse block located behind the kick-panel, just left of the passenger seat. See this panel on page 6-105 of the owners manual and/or see the attached photo. The two lugs are not shown, but they are just to the right of this fuse block, a few inches away.

My ground lugs were not totally crimped AND the tiny coat of solder present appeared to be "crystallized"! Trust me, poor workmanship like this can cause ALL KINDS of random electrical problems and "killer voltage spikes" too!

Use a flashlight to closely INSPECT those ground lugs and make sure you have outstanding (mechanical) lug crimps and full, bright solder connections too.

BEFORE you re-solder (if your lugs require it), please bundle the wires to each lug with TIE WRAPS to keep your wires from pulling apart at the lugs as you heat the lugs to soldering temperatures!

*** Also BE SURE to use safety goggles because if you fail to bundle your wires, HOT SOLDER can be flicked into your eyes because your face needs to be right there to observe your progress! ***

I hope this helps you!
Anthony
