Recently purchased this Suburban. The NIC says “Service Suspension System”. Upon inspection, there is no air pump installed, and neither the front or rear shock locations have sensor wires provided from the adjacent harness for an Air Ride System.

The installed shocks are the normal type, no air bag type system. Any suggested next step to diagnosing the Supension System Code?

Owners manual explains it on page 3-70 under DIC messages. It pertains to an error with the Autoride system. You didn't ask the prior owner what they did? You may need something similar to this link

Thank you. Actually, I have these exact resistors and went to install them. My mistake is I do not know what to wire them up to.

Do all 2009 Suburbans come equipped with the air ride sysyptem?

It is not an air system. It changes the shock calibration electronically. Check with a dealer by providing them the VIN to see if you have option code Z55.

Zora,

The Service Parts Label in the glove box does not include the code Z55. The is a Z82 and a few other Z codes. But not Z55.

You need to have it scanned to determine why you have the message. I can only tell you what your owners manual states is the cause.
