we counted 3 times the secs!!!! like What!!
today we were at the highway and we accelerated from 0 to 60 and it like "flyed"! it was about 4-5 seconds!!!! i was shocked! because my Malibu is a 4 cylinder not v6 why is this? is it a different engine? turbo charged or somthin? Please only serious answers.
we counted the secs 4 times
i started counting when the needle passed the 0
now i used a stopwatch and it counted 5.9
this is in k/ph

start counting immediately when pushing the gas, not 7 seconds afterwards. that will give you the real number.

"For 2010, Chevrolet has assumed that most buyers will be interested in four-cylinder Malibus. As a result, all trim levels come with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine as standard equipment. It produces 169 horsepower, and several publications have found that the Malibu can reach 60 miles per hour in less than 10 seconds"

next time dont count. Use a stop watch, it will be more truthfull with you

To days smaller engines are more powerful. most all have fuel injection. you may have a turbo charger. but you should of been told this when you bought car. sounds like you just have a small high performance engine. one word of caution.... just because car runs very well. still keep in mind. it is only 4 cylinders. and running it hard all the time. can be bad. it is not made for speed. good luck, hope this helps.
