My sisters car has a 4 inch hole in her oil pan from hitting a u-turn curb. She doesn't have the cash to fix it so I have to. I read that the motor and trans have to be separated and they have to be lifted to get the oil pan out. I'm looking for advice on the easiest way to change the oil pan any help will be much appreciated.

2.Drain the engine oil.
3. Remove or disconnect the following:
Negative battery cable
Right front wheel
Inner fender splash shield
Oil filter and oil filter adapter
Catalytic converter
ABS wheel speed sensor
Right front ball joint from the steering knuckle
Lower closeout panel
A/C compress mounting bolts and position compress aside
Engine-to-transmission support braces
Oil level sensor

4. Support the engine using a jack stand or equivalent and remove the right side engine mounting bolts.

5. Loosen the left side cradle bolts.

6. Remove the cradle bolts from the right front and right rear.

7. Remove the starter motor.

8. Remove the oil pan mounting bolts.

9. Remove the oil pan.

Doesnt your sister have collision insurance? These instructions are from Autozone.
