2006 Chevrolet Malibu LT Temperture Hand question?

2006 Chevrolet Malibu LT I Just Got Me a 2006 chevrolot malibu and u know how the cooling hand is there is C then a line then another line then there is High and My car is always on that line below High sometime it get above that but when i get speed it goes back down.... what does this sound like?


P.S. It Have Never Got on Red(high)
had the car all day yesterday over nite and i drove it and evathing and the hand didnt move like that.... do u think it cuz i drove 89miles 2day? or is it the Fan ( just brough it 2day)

you might have a cooling fan motor going bad. if the temp. rises while you are sitting still and then goes down while you are moving then have it checked. it is not hard to replace. should only cost about $150.00.

your cooling fan doesn't sound like it is working properly, the fan blows when the coolant gets to a certain temperature, it turns on and cools the radiator. I would get it checked soon. it is located in the front of the car right next to the radiator. $150.00 sounds extremely cheap. I work at a shop and I would expect a higher fee from a respectable shop.
