Has anyone replaced the battery clamp with a hold down that has two rods and goes across top of battery?

Has anyone replaced the battery clamp with a hold down that has two rods and goes across top of battery?

Windshield washer fluid reservoir is in the way to use an across top of battery type hold down.
Last time replacing battery had trouble getting a battery that worked with stock clamp. Wouldn't grab ledge
on battery right and battery would not hold solid. Going with Interstate brand MTP 78 see how well it works.
