2005 Cobalt wont shift out park

Hey,

I have a 2005 chevy cobalt and today when i went to start the car it would not shift out of park. I also notice that the brake lights are not working.

--I recently changed fuse for radio, and gauge cluster stopped working (Speedo, tach, mpg, Info Display)

Note: Shiftier was working just fine earlier today.

there is a shifter interlock controlled by the brake switch. It appears you have blown a fuse. read page 2-28 of your owners manual to take it out of park

If the fuse keeps popping, there might be an issue with the wiring...hopefully a mouse hasn't climbed into your bay and called it home.
