when driving the chevy it has a tendency to get stuck at mph when i press the gas pedal in it will not pick up any speed and when i release it the car doesnt slow down the problem evently stops but it is only temperaly and soon starts up again. the deosnt seem to be reving when it gets stuck but this only happens at 20 mph.

Sounds like transmission to me..
Just give you an advise, make sure you quote around your area. I found out there are many, many crooks out there repairing transmissions. I called around town when I try to fix my transmission. I was surprised how many of them try to ripped me off. Some say they can't quote me unless they open the transmission up. Some will give me a quote without the need for opening it up. Price can varies 100% +.
Just watch out.

Cody? What Im getting from your description is that for some reason your engine gets stuck at a MPH range of 20-25 MPH.
That when you try and accelerate you get no res ponce from the throttle
and when you remove your foot from the gas, the car does not decelerate?
Is this correct?
