I have a 2005 Chevy Cobalt, and I've realized that the check engine light has recently come on, solid. Before I take it too a dealership or somewhere to hook it up and find the code, I was just curious as to what the most common causes for the light to come on.
Thank you in advance.
The car sounds and feels like it is running fine. Gas mileage is pretty much the same too. As far as I can tell, nothing has changed. Also, just tightened the gas cap and took the air filter out and put it back in, and the light went off.
Almost thinking it was the gas cap.
