My 2004 Chevy Suburban speedometer is sticking kind of, sometimes it shows way more or less speed than I'm really going and I don't want to get a speeding ticket! Can I have someone repair the gauge or do I need to buy a new part or what? Thanks.

you need to go to your chevy dealer and get a new speedometer cable only. when you see it you will know what you are looking for under the dash. It screws off like acoke top lid and then you pull it up through the cable. Insert the new cable with some white grease.make sure it goes all the way down. hook it up to your speedometer and whalla your all set

there is now speedo cable on that year vehicle, its the stepper motor on the back of the instrument cluster which are hard to find to do yourself, take to the dealer and they will change the entire cluster so best bet is to find the motors and replace them yourself or take to speedo repair shop

I have a 2003 Suburban and recieved a recall notice on the gages.
Check the dealerships about yours.
