Ok so first time posting and thanks in advance for any help. Here is a quick rundown of what happened. When driving It was having problems getting into second gear the RPMS would shoot up and you would have to let them come back down to about 1500 then it would slip into gear and that was the only one that seems to be affected. Well I was driving back on a long trip and going about 85 on the freeway from LA and all of a sudden the RPMS tacked out so I slow down and start again only to find I only have first gear. I started reading and found these have a problem with the 3-4 clutch pack so I dropped the pan the fluid is very dark so I changed the fluid that came out about 6 quarts and a new filter but there was no metal shavings anywhere aside from what my friend said was normal wear on the magnet just a super fine layer there are no codes and 1st and reverse work perfectly if I’m lucky and super light on the gas it will slip into second. So I’m not sure where to go from here could it be the servo or the band or something else? I would assume if it was the fears I would see lots of metal. Anyone with some knowledge on the 4l60e and its workings would be a great help thanks
