this thing is driving me crazy.
started off the altinator went out saturday night, the warning light never came on til the battery was near dead .
the next day I recharged the battey and bought a new, not rebuilt altinator.
everything seemed good and I cleared the codes with my code reader.
test drove and all was good.
monday morning I start the truck up and have no gauges, at work I remove battery terms while running to see if alt is charging, seems ok. , fuses are good . at the end of the day I start it up to warm up . the engine revs to like 1500 rpm for a 30 second period.
go to leave about 20 min. later and the gauges start working again , but with in 100 feet I lost my breaks( made a sound like the anti lock breaks were working) then the truck stalls.
refire it rev a little seems fine but gauges are all over the place and the heat is switching from heat to defrost and back by it self. I go in to the store and come back out go to start it , and it seems the battery is dead, it bearly turns over. but on a 2nd 30 seconds later it spins over fine and starts up.
runs and little ruff and the gauges are fine but no dash lights.
I checked for bad connection s and good grounds all looks good.
this morning all is back to normal, but driving to work the heater fan revs up and down on its own , driver seat heater act crazy on off on off. and the head light dim and bright and dim and bright.
whats going on .....any clues
