I have a 2003 silverado 2500hd duramax LS, no Bose sound system and no onstar. I want to put an after market radio in my truck but I keep hearing about a special wiring harness I might need to install with the radio so everything works properly. My confusion is that everything I read these guys have either the Bose sound system or onstar or both in their truck but I don't have any of those. My question is do I actually need this special wiring harness with the radio or can I just cut the wires from the old wiring harness and buttsplice the wires together put the radio in and have everything working properly. Thanks for the help in advance
