New to the forum...not sure of protocol as this is my 2nd post for feedback/help.

Recently ordered and changed gauge cluster purchased from NAPA auto. It appears that all gauges working properly.... I have run fuel gauge down to the reserve (fuel light on), however if gas level goes below quarter tank and vehicle shut off it won't restart. Add fuel above quarter, starts no problem. I know many would say gas gauge on cluster is not calibrated however as stated I have driven to the fuel light has come on while traveling pulled into a gas station and fueled no problems. So if it was calibrated I'd more than likely run out while on the road. Again, not much experience. Any suggestions.

Next step is the mechanic $$$$$.

02' Z71 Burb, happend to us also-we could not let it sit overnight at 1/4 or below or it would not start the next day till we added fuel. It would also stall when it was hot for a few mins then it would start up again. Replaced fuel pump and have not had the issue again.

I have the same problem as the other guy said prob the fuel pump I try not to go below quarter tank but if you do and it wont start . crawl under and bang on the tank a few times and it should start. It worked for me then drove to the gas station and filled the tank only took 24 gallons so there was 7 gallons in the tank hope this helps
