My 2003 Chevy Malibu Intake is leaking for 2 spots, my wheel bearing needs to be replaced, I need new breaks.Im due for inspection this month, my question is should i bother wasting my money on fix this car that has 55k or should I trade it in??

Do some research (google style) on Dex-Cool coolant. There is pending legal stuff due to GM using this type of coolant. There have been many premature gasket failures via Dex-Cool.

You should research that some, then get ahold of a GM area service rep. That probably can be repaired under a silent recall.

Bearings and break are normal wear items, you have to expect to service those.

If however you really want a new car, and have the financial oomph to pay for one, NOW is probably one of the best times you will ever have to buy new on your terms! Dealers and the makers are in DESPERATE need of new sales. Deals will never be better.

I worked at GMC for 5 years as a technician. The intake will cost maybe around 800 to 1000 dollars to have it fixed. Wheel bearings are spendy parts, easy to replace. I have done many many intake reseals on those cars, they all leak!! The brakes are just normal wear, I would try to trade it in!! After you reseal the intake 1 time, they usually dont ever leak again.

you might want to check the chev dealer for a recall or service bulletin...at 55K id be there screaming for the manager and regional rep..brakes..wear out smart to fix them before the rotors get wrecked..and a wheel bearing ahhh they do wear out although 55K seems about 50 to 75K too soon...i dont wonder people buy hondas and GM is down the crapper...seems every v6 [except 4.3] blows intake..
