2002 Z71 Center Console Question?

I want to replace my center console, and like the 2003-2006 center consoles better, the ones with the gripper on the console lid. When I go on eBay it says the consoles are not compatible, but I was wondering how difficult the modification would be? I have measured both consoles and seems like they are roughly the same dimensions.

Any help or insight would be appreciated?

Also would it be possible to pick up one at a junkyard or would I have to go to ebay?

I would doubt it would be too difficult to retrofit that into your truck.
But I am just going out on a limb here in saying that.
Go ahead and look in a salvage yard first, you will save a TON on shipping which would be crazy on a center console, OR you could look on ebay. There is a TON of Tahoe parts on ebay!

You could also do a google search for an online salvage site that will search nationwide for your part. Good luck!
