2002 chevy silverado blower motor problem?

i have a 2002 chevy silverado 1500 4.8l v8 and a couple days ago i was just driving downt the road (not a bumpy road) and my fan jsut quit working my a/c and heater still work because if im on the highway i can feel the a/c trow the vents. now this happend to me awile ago then i went over a bumb and the fan turend back one, so if your can help thank and also please tell me were everything is.
 
1 if ur gona work on your car buy a shop manual [any auto parts store
2 check fuse,,,under hood [pull handle near left foot]
check other box side of dash driver door
 
There's a TSB (technical service bulletin) from GM that says to replace the blower motor resister and the pigtail wiring due to internal melting due to heat. Go to a GM dealer for a copy of the bulletin, it'll give you the part numbers to purchase.
The blower and resistor are under the dash, passenger side, behind the glove box, near the floor. It's a tight fit to get the bolts out and back in, oh yeah, special tools are required.
