2002 Chevy Avalanche front differential seal replacement, drivers side output

shaft leaking at differential? My 2002 Chevy Avalanche front end is leaking. It is leaking on the drivers side from the differential. How difficult is this seal to change and what steps do I have to take to do it? Do I have to remove the axle completely? It looks like the axle bolts on to a flange coming out of the differential, not sure if can be split there and the seal changed. Will the flanged stub be easily removed once the axle is unbolted from it?
