my car has 97,000 miles on it and is an automatic....

about a month ago i was making a u-turn, when i heard a loud bang and felt my car jerk really hard just as i was pulling out of the turn. my car drove fine that night, but now lately its been jerking slightly whenever i'm accelerating, like from 25mph to 50mph. it also has been locking my key in the ignition because its not registering in park. i have to switch gears a few times then it parks and releases the key. what's happening to my car? what are some solutions?

the transmission shifter cable could have come loose. or the range selecter on the transmission itself could be a hair off causing bumps in the road to mess with what gear the computer thinks it is in.

you could fix this one yourself, but unless you know what you are doing and looking for then it will be way easier to take it to a shop

The sticking key sounds like the parking pin in the shifter.

sounds like you might have done something to the cv joint.
