just got a new battery 3 wks ago, i had a wire running from my radio to my battery but i fix that with a kill switch today. the problem is most of the time the car will start but lk once a day the car goes dead and i need to get it jumped. my bro told me when i got the new battery he cranked up the alternator but idk what that means.. i have a bad starter can that have anything to do with it??
i got the car lk that, i put in a switch today on the power wire so i have to flip the switch every time i want the radio to turn off

Sounds like the alternator is not keeping a charge up on the battery.if you can get it started take it to a place that does free charging system checks they will be able to find the problem by doing a down load on the system of the charging system and tell you if it is the alternator. You might have a bad set of diodes in the alternator. But as for the radio wire your better off hooking up a in line fuse link in the power side to where you have a fuse link hook up if not it will take the radio right out in no time if you have a charging system problem that might occur with the way you have it hooked up.But place the fuse link between the battery to the radio about in the middle of that power line this way you won't wipe out the radio with the charging system.
