I recently had a friend swap my spark plugs and wires on my 01 2.2L |Cavalier and starting the other day, my check engine light is on. My friend informed me when he did the job he might have connected the spark plug wires to the incorrect plugs, and I think this may be causing the Cylinder 2 Misfire the computer is reading. If this is the case, what is the correct order for the spark plug wires on this car?

2.2L firing order 1-3-4-2

2.4L firing order 1-3-4-2

1 2 3 4

Good Luck to you

If he did you would have 2 cylinders missing. He may have cracked the porcelain on the plug or didn't get a wire pushed all the way on. If it's a 4 cylinder it wouldn't run with 2 wires crossed.
