2001 2500hd

Hi, I am new here, just ran across the forum searching google
The problem I am having is, when you turn on the key, the service engine soon light does not come on, it does not come on at all
I checked the bulbs and fuses, all are good
My truck failed state inspection because of this
It is a 2001 2500HD 4X4 crew cab

I hope this gives you at least an idea, if not, I can do my best to answer any questions

how did you check the bulb without taking the dash apart or did you? If you are sure the bulb is good the next thing you have to check is the circuit board the bulb connects to.

Yes, I pulled the IPC out
The antlock light works, so I swapped the bulbs, same results

Determine if the circuit board is hot and grounded going to the CEL socket. Do you have an OBDII scanner and if so any codes?

I have a friend coming over to look at the electronics, he has more skills and testers than I do
