When my malibu gets down around 3/4's of a tank of gas it will start spitting and sputtering. If i press the gas pedal down more it starts to backfire. It will quit on me and then won't start up for about 15 minutes. As soon as i put more gas in it it runs fine. When it does this there is also a foul odor that will come out of the heat that burns my eyes. Any ideas what could be causing this?
