2000 Chevy Malibu no tail lights?

I have a 2000 Chevy Malibu that i am working on. I have head lights, turn signals, brake lights and hazards, but no tail lights. I replaced blown fuses and all bulbs. I was having a problem with the turn signals and I found bad circuit boards so I replaced those. Somehow my father bent a few of the tabs in there and broke them trying to bend them back. I got to thinking of the turn signal/illumination switch assembly on the column, but I'd like the have a better idea before dropping the money on that.
