Ok on warm days my chevy has a problem starting. I have to press the gas pedal to get the engine to run. When I drive it after getting it started it runs perfect (not fuel pump) so it not wanting to start is an isolated issue. The only things I have done
1. replace the fuel pressure regulator
2. replace fuel filter.
Any guidance on how to get the truck running prime is appreciated.
The check engine light is not on, It was serviced for 100k miles 2 k miles ago. I'm thinking it's the injectors.
No I'm not putting it to the floor, but damn near close. I will check out the coolant sensor.

Did you ever find out what the problem was? I have the same problem on my 99 and the fuel pressure on the rail bleeds off from 52lbs to zero about 4 seconds after the pump shuts off. the pump only runs for 2 seconds after the key is turned on. since there is no fuel pressure on the rail when the pump is off, that means when you jump in and turn the key to start, the pump is trying very hard bring the pressure up to 50lbs, but the injectors spraying as fast as the pump is pumping. I'm guessing that I have a leaky injector or the fuel pump is leaking off pressure when not running.
