1999 chevy silverado?

i have a 99 silverado and wants to change the ignition key barell but cannot get off air bag

Really? Usually just a couple fasteners through the back of the steering wheel.

You might want to disarm it first though, so that you don't end up with a broken neck when it goes off on you.

First off disconnect the battery.Then there's 4 bolts that go into the steering wheel from the back.They're probably TORX type heads on the bolts.Undo them lift out the airbag and disconnect the connector treat the airbag like a bomb.Ford 4evr guy You got him set up to do it the correct way right on.I just read that.
