Hey guys,
I picked up a 99 Cav.
I've always wanted one since I was 16. Now finally have one. Payed $250 for the car, but yes has problems. lol.
By visual inspection the CAT (catalytic converter) is going on it. You can see the vapors running out of it.
But and the big But is. The timing belt. or chain just broke. Now I cannot seem to find the answer to this very simple question. Is my new/old lol Cav. a interference or non interference?
I have the Haynes manual and I am not sure which is my engine. I know it is a 2.2L
But that stuff aside. The engine gave out on my street. Which makes me to believe.
That something in that compartment where the timing chain is located broke. Could it be the pulley or the chain? Not really sure.
Can it be fixed without new engine?
I know I asked a lot of questions, kinda have ADD lol
Thanks,
