I want to convert my 1998 chevy silverado ext. cab standard bed 2wd 1/2 ton to a 3/4 ton. Will a 3/4 ton rear end for same year and type of truck fit mine? besides wheels. Also the front brake and hub assembly, will that bolt up? besides calipers? Need help!!!!

well since no one wants to answer lol i called up a buddy of mine and he say that it most definatly should fit but we havnt exactly DONE it before lol

The frame is the same, and you can also get the 4l80E trany. It has five gears on the planetary instead of four but if you have the 305 motor the 4l60 is fine just make sure to keep to fluid changed if you want it to last.
