1995-1997 chevy silverado 1500 im 16 and id like to buy 1 how should it cost?

Im planning a budget to buy a vehicle and i need some Information on how much i should should want to pay for it i would like it to be an ext cab so i have a backseat and have a reg bed. i need the truck because my fam could use since we are working on our home and in my my area having a pick up truck makes u look cool and also i can afford the gas and maintenance because i have a job so im not worried about gas prices

That really depends on two main conditions. 1. Where the truck is located and 2. What the condition of the truck is. Its not uncommon to find a truck like you want with 100,000 to 150,000mi in good shape that was well taken care of for $4-5,000. But you can find them for more or less. Always have them checked out thoroughly by a good mechanic (or you can check it yourself if you are so inclined) If you do find minor problems but still want to purchase the truck you can work that in the asking price.

go on kbb.com (or org, i cant remember) and it has step by step instructions on how to figure out what you should pay, then once that is done serch the hell out of craigs list, you might get lucky, im 15 and i bought a 1993 ford ranger with 136k miles and in perfect condition except for a dent, i only paid 400 dollars.
