1992 Chevrolet suburban 2500 3/2 ton brake problem?

I have a problem with my brakes.first off my truck doesn't want to stop like it should and when i need to stop quickly beyond a certain point my brake pedal well be fine then suddenly gets soft and go to the floor and the truck will almost hydroplane and it will shimmy and i will hear a roaring noise coming from the dash i think its my abs.then when i finally stop the brakes will completely lock up and it makes it very hard to gain speed to get the truck home and now the truck well turn completely to the right on its own if i let go of the wheel.I really need help guys i know how to stop a vehicle and it shouldent be that hard to stop the suburban i do my own work on my vehicles but i dont know about this situation i dont know why the brake pedal is fine then when i have to stop harder it gets spongey it should be tight all the way right .

Well, I don't think this has a vacuum booster, should be a hydro booster, that runs off of the same pump as your power steering. You may have air in your power steering line (DON'T let a quick lube place due a P/S flush, it wil mess up the hydro booster.) Also, you could have a calipur locking up. Pull the front calipurs off, and try to compress them. If they won't move, crack the bleeder. If the caipur conpresses with the bleeder open, then you have a flex hose restriction. Anytime you need to bleed the brakes on that, the engine has to be running (a requirement when you have hydraulic power booster and ABS.)

I also have this problem. I have a 2003 Chevy Suburban Z71. I recently purchased EBC 3GD crossed drilled and slotted rotors. This defiantely has improved my stopping power. I purchased them from Summit Racing. They were $250 for the front and $230 for the rear. I am looking up upgrading the master cylinder to hopefully eliminate the spongy problem, but do not know what one to buy.
