1990 Suburban engine light comes on hard acc.

I have a '90 Sub. when I accelerate hard the engine light comes on. It registers no code and when I turn it off and back on it resets and the engine light turns back off. When the light is on its seems to smell like eggs. Anyone know an explanation?
