I had Firestone replace the fuel pump about 3 months ago and my Silverado has worked fine since, except for yesterday. I cranked it and drove down the road about a mile. Then I turned around to retrieve something I forgot. I got about 30 years from my driveway and it died. My father and I pulled it back to the house. About 20 minutes later it cranked and we drove about 6 miles to Sam's, shopped a bit and returned to the truck. It wouldn't start. We've tried pouring a little gas down the carburetor when turning it over and still nothing. Any ideas what's wrong?

sounds like a spark issue.either coil or module under the distributor cap.just a few suggestions.spark related because if you have fuel and it will not start it is either spark or air missing in the equation.you only need fuel air and spark to run as long as the timing is right.hope this helps.
