I have a 1990 Chevrolet corvette with the baseline L-98 engine...its 350 cu.in. or 5.7L whichever way u want to see. i jumped it yesterday and it started idling around 1500 but after about 15 mins it started to struggle to keep it at 750. I have taken it to many repair shops and nobody seems to know whats going on. the list of what they think is wrong is:1. Cracked piston, 2. ruined clutch, 3, ruined alternator, 4. bad fuel injectors. that being said i dont know what the problem is although i think it may either be clogged injectors of possibly a bad clutch. Any help is appriciated.

A cracked piston? LOL....whatever shop that said that....walk away fast. The clutch won't have any bearing on the idle either.

We'd really need more info. Ideally a shop should drive the car with a scanner hooked up to it. It could be a faulty TPS sensor, a clogged IAC valve etc...hard to diagnose based on what you gave us.
