Hey everyone, new to the forum. Just bought a 65 Nova with 350 and T350 trans. The trans has a reverse valve body and shifts hard. 3500 stall converter also, I love the way it shifts and drives. The problem is I have 373 gears in the rear and the rpm is out of the roof over 50mph. I want to cruse in this car as well as jump or play around. Can I put a 700r4 in this car and what all do I have to change? Bell housing? trans mount? drive shaft? Shifter? Do they make 3500 converters for these and valve bodies? I want to keep the crisp shifting and higher stall because the car will be on the strip as well as the street. Any help here would be appreciated.
