06 chevy malibu temp question?

i was driving around in my malibu when on the cd player it totally blacked out and then said nothing but locked on it. then i shut it off and turned it back on then it was unlocked. but now the temprature, (outside temp) is stuck on 25. NO idea how to get it back. we checked the temp outside on our local bank and it was 50 out. please help!
i would go to a dealer but we bought it up in nebraska and i live in colorado. my grandma bought it as a grad gift just last week. it was used but only with 62k miles.
