Hey there! I have an 03 Silverado 1500 ext. Cab that I am rebuilding and have some electrical gremlins that need fixing.
The park brake light and ABS light are consistently on and are the only two lights on while idling.
when I put the truck in gear all of my dashboard gauges (oil pressure, engine temp, fuel gage..) go down to zero (all the way left) and don’t work. There are times where the fuel gauge will work properly, but never for a prolonged period of time,
I have had these problems for a couple months and at the start dashboard lights would flash on and off randomly and gauges would work/not randomly also.
I have recently had the transmission rebuilt for the second time (under warranty) because they gave me a faulty transmission at the start and the transmission shop Blames it on an electrical issue that is causing the torque converter to not lock up fully.
I have checked all the grounds I can find, including relays/fuses… etc
The entire brake system has been gone through and replaced what was needed.
I am unsure of how to continue and understand the pain of electrical issues now haha
Any and all help would be much appreciated! Thank you!!
