Has anybody replaced their stock head unit with one with Bluetooth for hands-free calling? I'm looking to retain the steering wheel controls for the stereo also. I was thinking maybe a later model head unit would be the easiest way? The CD player is dying (last 3or 4 songs on a CD skip, always) but otherwise the stereo is adequate for me, I don't need a huge system. Any input would be great.

UPDATE - I found the stereo upgrade pages... didn't show up on my initial searches. As expected a VAST amount of information. Thanks!

have you tried looking at www.crutchfield.com for aftermarket ? anything factory would involve the built in radio security system where the VIN has to match the vehicle

I replaced my 2010 factory radio with. Kenwood with Navi. I was able to keep all my factory features ( bluetooth, steer wheel controls, onstar) with the following add on device iDatalink ADS-MRR which can be programmed to your make and model via a USB cable.

Radio w/ Navi ran me $550 from Crutchfield. The iDatalink ran me $90.00.
I also purchased an installation voucher for another $150. The voucher allowed me to go to any Crutchfield approved installer and have them installed the unit.
