02 Chevy Trailblazer Bogging down.?

Ok so I was an idiot and ran my car completely out of oil. Which I am thinking is just a coinidence compared to the problems I am having. Service engine soon light comes on,while idle.. the car bogs down.. Like its stuttering..lurching almost. I get up to like 30 an you dont feel it anymore and the light starts flashing. I'm at 96k on my mileage. If it does need the whole works what am I looking at having to replace and what kind of cost? (Should have got the stupid warranty!)

It could be any number of problems. start by changing your fuel filter and if that dont help. take it to a reputable shop and have diagnostics ran on it.
