I am looking to buy a 01 silverado 1500. I see there was a recall for the abs in 2005, saying that the sensors need cleaned and a few other things. To me, an abs malfunction seems like something pretty big. My question though, is if I buy the truck and I take it to a chevy dealer or a garage, will they clean the sensors and stuff specified in the recall for free, or will you have to pay? And if you do have to pay, about what would that cost be?
