I'm looking to replace my tranny due to the common 3-5-R wave plate failure. This car has the 6t70 tranny, what can i replace it with? Specs: 2008 Chevy Malibu 3.6L V6 6spd Auto

I have an 89 s10 blazer with a 4.3 in it. I thinkin about swapping in a Ls1 and a T56. Or A 5.3, LH8 from a Colorado. if I go the LH8 route, How much am I lookin to invest in a motor/trans (roughly)?? Any particular year or donor that is the best candidate?? What issues will I run into?? And any...
