Arrow 2007 Silverado Problems

So I just bought this truck about a month ago. As you can see its a 2007 Silverado 1500 LT with Z71 Off Road Package. Has approximately 150k miles on it and I got a pretty good deal because of those miles. Ive decided its not going anywhere and would like to fix some problems and make some modifications. This is my first time posting. I apologize if I duplicated another post as I am not used to the site yet. Any help, tips, tricks, advice, etc. that you guys have is greatly appreciated.

1. My remote entry/start worked great until a week ago. Its like I lost all range in both fobs. I have to be right next to the truck for it to work. I bought brand new batteries for both... No change.

2. My stereo does not have XM and sucks compared to the 2012 Silverado 2500HD I drive for work. Both are stock non-Bose. Can I get a radio from a 2012? Will it make it better (more power)? Will gain XM?

3. I would like to put a 2" leveling kit under it with some bigger tires. How big of tires can I put on those rims without investing a lot in other parts and sawing up my truck. I do not want loud mud tires... but a little bigger than stock. I plan to powder coat those rims black/charcoal. Anyone else done anything to these rims?

4. I like the look of Tow-Mirrors. If I get the ones with blinkers will the blinkers work? Mirrors on there currently in the picture do not have blinkers but are heated.

5. Tips for blacking out bow ties?

6. Suggestions for exhaust? I would like it a little louder but not ridiculous. Friend of mine suggested just cutting the muffler off and keep stock exhaust. Does that cause a problem with any sensors? I hate lights on my dash. Does it sound good?

ALSO: Always wanted a truck but never owned one. Im no mechanic but I am wondering what I should look for and what I should have done maintenance wise because it is at 150,000 miles.

Im sure Ill have more questions as the thread goes on.

Thanks For Looking!

Suggest that you install Flow Masters on the exhaust

Everything else can be done if you have the green backs.

I put 3" stainless from cat abc and dual in and out magnaflow on my 03 2500hd. It sounds great. It has that deep growl sound that isn't ear splitting annoying. Friend of mine removed muffler on his 6.0 and two tickets for noise ordinance violations and a lot of nasty looks later he installed same thing and he is much happier.
