Default lifting 1998 2dr Tahoe

Hi everyone!
I'm looking to lift my 1998 2dr Tahoe with the Rough Country 6IN GM SUSPENSION LIFT KIT.
But i'm very new to this and really don't know much, I've been doing some research and this kit comes up quite a lot and seems to be quite well recommended.
As I am very green to this a good lift kit to get, also whats the best size wheel (and tires) to get before I have to start trimming?
Also is there anything else I would need to get for the lift?

Cheers! ANy help or pointing in the right direction is greatly appreciated!
