Default 1999 Silverado AC issues
Ac in my truck is not cooling properly. Both schrader valves are leaking. I know this because i removed the caps and sprayed the valves with soapy water. I have one of those guns with a dial to dispense refrigerant, when the compressor is off the pressure goes into the red. When it kicks on, refrigerant level goes below the green zone. Seems to me there is more than low refrigerant going on. Any thoughts?

The gun is attached to the low side so with the engine off it will not give you the correct reading. I believe the instructions state not to hook up until the engine is started?

That is correct. I had the engine running witb the ac on wide open.
