Default What is the correct fuel tank pressure sensor?

I have a 2004 Aveo LS hatchback. Iím tracking down a P0455 code, and have replaced the gas cap, evap solenoid, and purge valve. Iím told either the pressure solenoid or the charcoal canister is bad.

Going forward with the ďcheap fixĒ and see what happens. Iím finding two AC Delco part numbers 16238399 and 16238409 for results. The parts are both 3 pin and look identical, however the one (16238409) is specific to the car whereas the other just says ďchevrolet 1996-2010.Ē

Anybody have any advice?

You do realize the proper way to diagnose the problem is a smoke test?
You could have a pinhole leak in a hose causing the code.
Not sure how you ended up with two numbers, the 16238409 is NOT for your car.

I thank you for the web link-and I will track down the part.

I do realize that thatís the proper way to test.

As for the two part numbers, the one you state isnít the correct one is what has come up (ac Delco #) from all parts stores and online parts retailers. But the other one comes up as well. Was only wondering if itís the same part different number (as GM has done to me a few times).

According the gmpartsdirect.com, selecting your car and inputing the 16238409 it does not fit your car. When doing the same thing using the 16238399 number it matches your car.

I see that. It threw me off honestly why the right number came up but then suggested that the other one was the right part. Gonna go with what parts direct suggests is the proper part#. Thanks again!
