Default Intermittent no start

I have a 1986 CS with the 2.0 L engine. It has a no start problem at times since I bought it 15- years ago. If the engine gets wet at the right rear corner next to the firewall, it may not start until the next day! What I am pretty sure of is that the bulk head disconnect is getting moisture inside the connector & I CANNOT get the connector separated to look at it. Has anyone had this problem before and might be able to help me out? Any comments or questions will be most appreciated.

it's difficult finding an image of a 1986 connector, you dont see any clips or a bolt holding the two sections of the connector? can you post a picture of the connector? have you tried finding a hanes or chilton manual which may give some instructions on how to disassemble it?

Thank you

Hi- I have some photos of connector as installed in Cavalier. Not very good shots. Would it help if I upload to computer & attach & send? Would it be better if I remove it & take additional photos and send? It takes a little time to R&R the connector is why I am asking.
Thank you

In the last two years you havent checked a manual as was suggested or you fixed it, not too clear why you are asking about loading pictures? You did see the instructions?

Yes I did check all manuals on this car I could find. No luck on finding any info on the disconnect. I need to ask again- would you be able to tell how the connector is separated if I remove it & take some good photos?
Thank you again.

you have to remove it to take the picture?
until I see the picture I can not answer the questions as to whether I know how to seperate it.
in the last 2 years the car has never been serviced somewhere that you could ask a mechanic how to seperate it?

Yes, I need to remove it from firewall to take "good" photos of it. No, the only garage I ever take it to is the tech that issues the state inspection sticker for it. I may ask him.
Attached are 4-photos of the bulkhead connector. Would it help to remove it to get better shots of it or can you tell me anything on it? The other half of the connector is on the other side of the firewall, so you cannot see the whole disconnect. Note: I did add clear RTV sealer around the wires in order to try to waterproof it.

Thanks

I havent seen that kind of connector. If you are sure that is the cause of the problem have you considered wrapping the wires with electrical tape and then using the RTV?
