Default Should I buy a Chevy Cruze or a Scion TC?

First off, I don't want a Civic or a Corolla. I know the Scion engine is the same one they put in a Camry, so I'm pretty sure it is reliable. On the other side of the stick, I know nothing about the Chevy Cruze's engine. I don't have to have 4 doors either. Which one should I get & why? Thanks!

the engine in the Cruze is the Ecotec and has been around for more than a decade and used in many vehicles in GM's line up. Any information about the TC I recommend a Toyota site.

The TC has a 2.5 liter 4 banger and the Cruze has a 1.4/1.8 liter 4 cylinder (depends which model you buy). IMAO, the cruze is a little underpowered for a sedan. Personally I'd recommend the TC but with that being said, I'm a little biased (if you look at my sig...lol) Now gas mileage will be better with the Cruze (obviously). It gets between 35 and 41 MPG while the TC gets between 23 and 31 MPG. (City vs highway)
