No, I have not done that. I need to separate the male from the female disconnect in order to take a look at the connection & all the wiring. I'm wondering if I should put some force into it in order to try to separate. My only concern is that if it should "break apart" & the wiring terminals pull out the disconnect, I would NEVER get it wired correctly again as I have no manuals (or found any) that would show me a schematic of the disconnect. Does anyone have any suggestions, please?

there us a retaining nut in the top of the picture, have you removed it and pulled the harness out?

Yes I did. I pulled the wiring out & that exposes the two halves. I cannot pull them apart for some odd reason. Could they be "frozed" together? How would I get it apart without damaging any of the wires??

hard to tell you the answer without seeing a picture of the connector. Can you post it?
