Knocking sound under the dash.

I have a 2011 Nox LTZ 4cyl that has a knocking sound coming from under the dash...I have been told its one of the actuators under the dash.

How would I know which one is bad? And how do I replace it?

I have been told one must remove the dash to get to it (Them) or through the glove box.

Just how to you remove the dash and is it hard and time consuming?

Thanks, I have been playing around with it. And when I push the defrost button the noise goes away...and the a/c blows out of the defrost slots...so I guess thats one down...hahaha

It was the mode actuator, the one on the top, and the hardest to get to...I had the dealer do it....
